Insights & FAQs
I'm deeply committed to preserving the authentic artistry of Golden Age of Ottoman ceramics (15th-16th centuries).
I strictly adhere to the traditional rules and aesthetics of Iznik pottery, ensuring each piece reflects the historical significance and beauty of this revered art form.
Furthermore, I personally source only the highest quality materials, specifically seeking out tile bodies with a high quartz content. This traditional composition is crucial for the exceptional durability, vibrant colors, and distinctive quality that define genuine Iznik ceramics.
The patterns and motifs adorning my Iznik tiles carry deep historical significance, rooted in the Iznik tile art ceramic tradition of the Ottoman Empire.
Many of these designs are recreated, sometimes as near one-to-one reproductions of iconic motifs from the 15th and 16th centuries. Out of profound respect for the original, often anonymous master artisans who conceived these timeless designs, I choose not to alter their intricate details.
I also create my own original designs. These are not mere imitations; they are crafted from scratch, always adhering strictly to the established rules and principles of the Classic Iznik Art.
My inspiration draws deeply from the rich visual language of Islamic art and the broader Ottoman ceramic tradition, resulting in pieces that feel both authentically rooted and uniquely my own.
Yes, absolutely! Many of Iznik tiles and Turkish ceramics on my website are suitable for kitchens and bathrooms, some are suitable for outdoor use as well.
However, the best choice depends on the specific tile's material and finish, which you'll find detailed in each product description to help you make the right selection for your space.
I want your investment to last! Use a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive cleaners. Avoid harsh chemicals. Specific care instructions are included with each purchase, and you can find more detailed guidance here.
Because of limited production (100 piece a year) and my personal involvement in each creation, I carefully consider all requests for custom projects on an individual basis.
If you have a specific design vision or would like wall tiles to complement your existing home décor, I warmly invite you to share the details of your project with me.
I will personally review each proposal to determine if it aligns with my artistic approach and production capacity.
While I cannot guarantee all custom requests can be accommodated, I am always fascinated by unique design ideas and will give your vision thoughtful consideration.
